EVA rubber foam soles are soles formed by secondary foaming of EVA. We call them MODE soles.
Rubber foam base is a base fabric made of rubber closed-cell or open-cell foam materials made of natural or artificial rubber. Half a century ago, people used this material in large quantities for sneakers, sports shoes, travel shoes, liberation shoes, casual shoes, etc. It has excellent elasticity, good tear resistance, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation and other properties.
Chinese companies produce rubber foam soles in large quantities, and their products are supplied to the American and European markets.
Rubber foaming process
When solid dry rubber is used to make cotton rubber, the rubber is usually filled with a foaming agent and other additives to undergo a chemical decomposition reaction at the vulcanization temperature to decompose gas. The rubber material expands and foams to form microporous rubber. Therefore, it is very important to select the type of foaming agent, determine the dosage, and mix the assistant foaming agent to produce microporous rubber with good performance. Generally speaking, foaming agents are expected to meet the following requirements: stability against acid, alkali, light, and heat during storage; good, odorless, and nontoxic; the disadvantages of discoloration of microporous rubber after foaming; The gas decomposition can be completed within a short period of time, and the amount of gas generation can be controlled. The powdered foaming agent should have a small particle size and can be evenly dispersed in the rubber material. It does not affect the vulcanization process of the rubber and is sold at a low price.
