1. Raw material preparation
The raw materials required to make EVA include ethylene, vinyl acetate monomer, initiator, dispersant, etc. Among them, the mass ratio of ethylene and vinyl acetate monomer is a key parameter for manufacturing EVA and needs to be adjusted according to product needs.
2. Polymerization reaction
Add the prepared raw materials into the polymerization tank, and perform the polymerization reaction at a certain temperature, pressure and stirring speed. During the polymerization reaction, the reaction speed and temperature need to be controlled to ensure that the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the product meet the requirements.
3. Devolatilization treatment
After the polymerization reaction is completed, the product needs to be devolatilized to remove unreacted monomers and low molecular weight by-products. Devolatilization treatment generally uses methods such as vacuum distillation or steam stripping.
4. Granulation
The EVA product after devolatilization is viscous and needs to be granulated to facilitate subsequent processing and application. Granulation generally adopts methods such as extrusion granulation or underwater cutting.
